Plain terms, and an honest refund.
What you are buying, what we promise, and what we do not. Written to be read, not to hide anything.
What the service is
HalalScript reports whether the ingredients in your exact medication are animal-derived, plant-derived, or synthetic, and the species when the manufacturer names one. We base this on the manufacturer's own written statements, dated as of their reply, with FDA labeling as the starting point. Every answer is reviewed by a licensed pharmacist before it reaches you.
What it is not
This is information, not medical advice, and not a religious ruling. Using this site does not create a pharmacist relationship, and nothing here is the practice of pharmacy. Whether a medication is permissible for you is a question for you and your religious scholar. Always talk to your doctor, and never stop or change your therapy without them.
What you pay for
A single check covers one medication from one manufacturer. The household plan covers up to five medications for one year. Prices are shown before you pay. If we already hold the manufacturer's written answer for your product, you receive it soon; otherwise we reach out to the manufacturer, and answers usually arrive within two to six weeks.
Refunds
If the manufacturer never provides the source, that lookup is refunded — just reply to any of our emails or ask from your answer page. On the household plan, a refunded medication restores that check to your plan so you can use it for another; the household plan itself is refundable within its terms rather than per-medication once answers are delivered.
We may review unusual purchase patterns before processing additional transactions. This lets us keep the refund promise generous for the families it is meant for.
Your account
There is no login. Your answer link, and your plan link for the household plan, are how you reach what you bought. Keep those links. Anyone with the link can view that answer, so treat it like a receipt.
Accuracy and change
Manufacturers can change a supplier or a formulation, and stated sources can change with them. We report what the manufacturer stated as of the date shown, and we reconfirm as needed. We do not guarantee that a source will stay the same, and we are not affiliated with the FDA or any manufacturer and do not endorse any product.
Acceptable use
This service is for people checking medications for themselves, their household, or those in their care. Do not use it to systematically map our coverage, resell our answers, or place automated orders. We may decline or reverse transactions that appear to be for those purposes.
Limitation
To the extent the law allows, HalalScript's liability for any claim connected to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the check at issue. We are not liable for decisions made about starting, stopping, or continuing a medication; those belong with you, your doctor, and your scholar.
