What this means
Hyaluronidase is an enzyme that temporarily loosens the tissue under the skin so other injected medicines or fluids spread and absorb. Amphadase is cow-derived (bovine); Vitrase is a sheep-derived (ovine) version of the same enzyme. Hylenex is a recombinant human version made in cell culture; it is a different medicine.
